Kapawe’no First Nation – An exciting and innovative leadership series will begin At Kapawe’no Nehiyawahk Kiskinahamâtowikamik (School) on Tuesday March 28th 2023 with Mr. Brian D Thomas and driven by the Sports Academy.
Past experiences, videos, guest speakers and good old story telling will kick off this new series. Areas of presentation will be the seven Nêhiyawak teachings / laws, strategic thinking, delegating, communication, integrity and empathy. We will also look at the seven traits of a successful leader which includes communication, knowing your people, knowing yourself, diplomacy, and seeking feedback and other interesting topics.
We will also delve into traits of a good leader such as self-awareness, garnering credibility, focus on relationship building and exhibiting humility.
The plan of action includes empowering the teams, staying authentic and presenting yourself consistently.
