Why Is Plyometric Important Part of training?
Speed, power, agility and endurance.
A lightening quick connection between the stretch and the reflex requires considerable neutral energy through the central nervous system (i.e. your intent to move quickly) , and therefore turn on (recruit) fast twitch muscles fibers.
Basically, when performing plyometric this way, you are ‘teaching’ your body to release more ‘athletic’ horsepower through faster firing muscles.
